Arkas Konteyner Tasimacilik Anonim Sirketi, located in Izmir, is a container shipping company that was established in July 1996 under the name EMES Shipping and Transport S.A. It was the first container shipping line in Turkey to operate under the Turkish flag. In January 2010, the company changed its name to Arkas Container Transport S.A. and now operates under the brand name "Arkas Line". Arkas Line offers container shipping services with a fleet of 20 vessels. The fleet consists of 126,500 TEUS (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) of containers, including types such as "open top", "high cube", "flatrack", "palletwide", and "reefers". These containers are used for regular service between ports in the Mediterranean, West Africa, and the Black Sea. The company has established an Integrated Management System, which includes ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. These systems ensure that the company maintains high standards in quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety.
