In the development of the bank s 100 subsidiary, the National Trust s Finance and holds an important position. It was founded in 1967 under the name of National Trust Company and had activities in the field of asset management and investment advice. In the early seventies, the Bank transferred its hire purchase portfolio entirely to the subsidiary, whose name was then changed to National Trust and Finance Corporation (abbreviated NTFM). The project management rests with the Hakrinbank N.V.
In banking technology have been committed in recent years substantial investment, especially in procurement of software, which have enabled the bank to launch in 2004 as the first financial institution in Suriname with online banking. The Bank is currently among the leading financial institutions in Suriname with an estimated market share of about 25 .
