GGT a.s. is a company located in Bratislava that has been offering a range of tobacco, smoking, and accessory products for over 20 years. In 2011, they expanded their product range to include office supplies and books. They are one of the leading companies in the domestic market, distributing cigarettes, tobacco products, and additional items for resale to tobacco shops and newsstands. GGT a.s. is the exclusive importer and distributor of various international tobacco and cigarette brands. They operate a retail network of shops called TABAK PRESS through 10 holding distribution partners. They collaborate with major retail chains such as Slovnaft, Billa Slovakia, Lidl, Metro Cash & Carry, CBA, and others. Since 2009, GGT a.s. has also been present in the Czech market, where they operate specialized tobacco shops in collaboration with the Czech company PressMedia. In 2017, GGT a.s. increased its market share in the Czech market through a merger with Valmont, a company with a network of tobacco shops that is the third-largest retail seller of press, tobacco products, and alcohol.
