BUKOCEL, a.s. is a commercial sulfite pulp company located in Hencovce. It is the largest manufacturing company within the BUKÓZA HOLDING Group. The company's product portfolio consists of bleached paper pulp, with nearly 95% of the raw material being hard deciduous wood, primarily beech. The final product, paper pulp, is used as a basic raw material for the production of graphic, hygiene, packaging, and special types of paper. It also serves as a raw material for the production of powdered cellulose and various cellulose derivatives. The production capacity of BUKOCEL is over 150,000 tons of pulp per year. The company exports almost 100% of its production, with the main customers being countries within the European Union, particularly Austria, Germany, France, and the Czech Republic. Some of the exports are directed beyond the EU borders.
