AGRO CS Slovakia, a.s. is a company located in Lucenec, Slovakia. It was incorporated in May 2000 when the Czech manufacturer AGRO CS decided to utilize the results of AGROFLORA's four-year work and found that their products accounted for nearly 50% of the Slovak market. The company started production in January 2001 and experienced success and growth in its first year, both in terms of financial results and the expansion of its premises to 6 hectares. By this time, the company employed 28 employees. In 2002, the production of bark was initiated, followed by the production of fertilizers, and in 2008, the production of wood chips was added. The initial investments in technology ensured stable development and good financial results. In 2009, the annual production of their most widespread product, AGRO substrate, reached 100,000 m3. By 2010, the company's premises had more than doubled to over 20 hectares, and it employed around 75 people. In 2011, a project supported by the European Union was implemented to increase energy efficiency in buildings and utilize renewable energy sources. As part of this project, the production hall and administrative building were insulated, a biomass boiler room was built, and external heat distribution was reconstructed. In the same year, the composting facility with an area of approximately 2.5 hectares was also inaugurated. The regional community composting facility has a capacity of 50,000 m3 in the first stage of organic waste processing, and up to 110,000 m3 subsequently. The construction has multiple significances for the company, including the utilization of bio-waste as a secondary raw material, fulfilling the company's environmental policy, reducing waste, and minimizing environmental impact. AGRO CS Slovakia has been producing substrates, fertilizers, and mulching materials in Slovakia for over 20 years, and they also supply a wide range of other products. They contribute to the country by returning its energy, strength, and fertility, adding color to cities, greenery to spaces, and joy to growers. The company is constantly seeking new ways to do things better and in a more sustainable manner.
