JSC Grid Company of Tatarstan was established by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan on December 11, 2001 in accordance with the plans to reform the energy sector on the basis of nine companies of electrical networks, which are now its affiliates. The main functions of JSC Grid Company are: transmission and distribution of electric power to consumers of the Republic of Tatarstan, creation of conditions for the connection of new consumers. Today JSC Grid Company largest transmit power among the top ten of similar companies in Russia (80 in total). As of today, nine branches of JSC Grid Company are in operation 373 substations with the power of 35-500 kW. The total length of overhead lines (OL) 35-500 kV on a line is 9987.5 km; of circuits - 12 292.2 km, cable lines (CL) 35-110 kV (XLPE), 39.2 km, TC 110 kV (oil filled), 68.77 km. Branches of JSC Grid Company operate 23 717.4 km VL-6 (10) kV (the track), 28056.5 km VL-0, 38 kV (the track), 16935sht. TP and RP-6 (10) kV, 4173.2 miles KL-6 (10) kV and 4792.24 km of the TC-0, 38 kV.
