Pava OAO (Russia)

Pava OAO (named Agro-Industrial Company Hleb Altaya OAO until 2005) is among the three largest grain processing factories in Russia. The share of the company's production is more than 3% of Russia's total flour production. Production is carried out in three mill factories which have their own elevators and railways. The company entered the market as a grain processing plant and only later developed its potential into an agricultural production. Pava is one of the first agricultural firms to enter the structure of Selhozholding OOO in 2002. The production is focused on processing of local raw materials - wheat grown where the production facilities are located: Altai and Krasnoyarsk Regions. Focusing on local materials is explained by the lower transportation costs for its harvest and the high grain quality; it is also considered the best in Russia for baking purposes; its use is widespread among other grain processing enterprises.
