In 1951 Hantymansiysk Geophysical Expedition was created, which began its regular geophysical surveys in Western Siberia and has undergone a change in status: Expedition - Trust - Industrial Geological Association for geophysical surveys (PGO) - State Geological Enterprise (SGE) - Khantymansiyskgeofizika (HMG JSC), which provides geophysical services to customers: oil and gas companies, the regional committees of oil and gas geology of the committees of the Ministry of natural Resources of the Russian Federation, foreign organizations, etc. In field and laboratory units Khantymansiyskgeofizika all businesses employ more than 3,000 engineers and technicians and workers.
