Bumazhnaya Fabrika Kommunar AO is a paper and cardboard manufacturing company located in Kommunar, Russia. The company was founded in 1845 by Ivan Rogers and Daniil Reiner on the banks of the Izhora River. In 1885, the factory was acquired by British subject Egor Franzovich Reiner, who aimed to expand the factory and become the largest supplier of sugar paper. The factory underwent various changes and expansions over the years, including the installation of more powerful equipment and the production of high-quality paper. After the revolution in 1918, the factory was nationalized and renamed "Kommunar" in 1919. During the first five-year plans, the production expanded, and by the start of World War II, the factory was producing 6,000 tons of various types of paper and 715,000 rolls of tracing paper on four paper-making machines. Since 1963, the factory has specialized in the production of technical paper and has been operating continuously. The company is known for manufacturing packaging and technical paper and cardboard with densities ranging from 25 to 175 g/m2. These products are widely used in industries such as confectionery, medical, food, metalworking, and printing. The company places a strong emphasis on improving the quality of its products and has implemented a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards since November 2002. The proximity of the factory to St. Petersburg and major transportation routes sets Bumazhnaya Fabrika Kommunar AO apart from other manufacturers in the industry.
