Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG ) was formally established in 1890 in Stuttgart. In 1902, the company Motorfahrzeuge-und Motorenfabrik Marienfeld Berlin AG was taken over by DMG. In 1924, DMG merged Benz & Cie and become a joint venture Mercedes-Benz Automobil Gmbh. The first Mercedes was Projectors Wilhelm Maybach, Chief Engineer at DMG, in 1900. DMG started to use the brand name "Mercedes” in September 1902. Three-pointed star was a symbol of Daimler about the principle of universal motorization "earth, water and air." In November 1921, DMG has requested protection for proper use of the logo. The company DaimlerChrysler Automotive Romania became Mercedes-Benz Romania, after DaimlerChrysler sold Chrysler to 80% of the world and the shareholders decided in early October to change the name of the corporation in Daimler AG. The company Mercedes-Benz Romania SRL has relaunched the website in 2008. The company distributes new cars on Romanian market, accessories and repair services, contracts, warranty etc.
