Gecsat SA (Romania)

Gecsat is among glass producers for more than 90 years. The flat glass production started in 1929 using Fourcault method. In 1991 the company changes its name in Gecsat SA and it is a limited company, and in 1995 after buying the entire stake from Romanian state it became private company. The company’s capital is private, 100% Romanian. In 2006 two production lines were put into operation : the expanded polystyrene production line and the dry mortars based on quartz sand line, especially for thermal insulation. The thermal insulation system made from these 2 products was named GecsaTherm. In March 2009 started modern production line of mineral glass wool.
