Felinvest SA, originally known as Feleacul Cluj, was founded in 1918 as a private company, producing caramelaj, dragees and fondant. After nationalization, the company became IPZ Feleacul and in 1977 took over from the local industry a production facility for halva, Turkish delight, gingerbread, etc. In August 2008, the manufacturer of starch Amylon Sibiu, part of Boromir Group, bought several production lines and trademarks of Feleacul. In January 2009, the company changed its name to Felinvest, renounced the production of sweets and has refocused its activity on the real estate segment. The majority shareholder of the company is businessman Octavian Buzoianu, which controls 70.07% of the shares, while investment fund Broadhurst Investments owns 7.82% of shares. The Company titles are transferred to the category of BSE.
