Electroaparataj SA (Romania)

Electroaparataj has been established in 1948 as a low voltage switching equipment manufacturer by joining the companies Electroaparataj Andre Prott (established 1947) and Industria Electrica Romaneasca (established 1935). Later the company also included Electrocasnica Factory and Metaga Factory. Electroaparataj contributed to the conception, manufacture training and establishment of other similar companies, among which: Intreprinderea de Aparataj Electric Titu and Electrocontact Botosani. Electroaparataj SA was established in 1991 as a joint stock company, by 1997 being fully privatized. Since November 1997 is quoted on Bucharest Stock Exchange. In July 2005, Electroaparataj finalized the fusion by absorption with Aparataj Electric Titu, Electrotehnica and Romarta 2000. During its more than 70 years of existence, the scope of activity of Electroaparataj has undergone many changes and the industrial spaces have expanded. Today the company remains among the industry leaders in the manufacture of low voltage communication equipment for industrial users.
