Cupru Min SA Abrud operates on the Romanian market since 1999. Cupru Min SA is a company whose main activity is the extraction of other non-ferrous metal ores. Cuprumin main activity is mining and processing of copper ore deposit Rosia Poieni the exploitation of precious metals and copper concentrate, which is currently leased to other companies: Energo Mineral, Cuprom and Ipronef. Currently on the company remained only secondary activities, such as: the extraction of andesite and limestone building, blasting with explosives, freight and people. The company has no mining objectives whose closure was approved by Government decision. In March 2012 Roman Copper Corp. company from Canada was the winner of a tender for the full takeover of the capital Copper Min, owned by the Ministry of Economy.
