Uzinele Sodice Govora SA was established in 1955 and in 1990 was registered as a limited company. In 1959, the first soda ash production line was commissioned. The company is controlled by CIECH Polish group with a stake of 92.91% of the share capital. On October 26, 2006 USG was acquired by CIECH Chemical Group. The company produces light soda ash, heavy soda monohydrate, sodium silicate solid, liquid sodium silicate.
