The Commercial Bank of Qatar was established in 1975 as the first wholly owned private commercial bank in Qatar. The Bank is primarily engaged in commercial and Islamic banking services. The Bank also acts as a holding company for its subsidiaries engaged in credit card business in Oman and Egypt. It offers its services through three main divisions: personal solutions, business solutions and investment services. The Bank operates through a network of more than 20 branches across Qatar. The Retail banking segment provides personal, current, savings, time and investment accounts services, credit card and debit card services, consumer loans and residential mortgage services, and custodial services to retail and individual customers. The Islamic banking segment provides Islamic principle (Shariah) compliant banking services, such as current, savings, time and investment account services.
