The company was created on the 29th of July 1920 under the name La prevision, pushed from its visionary founders who saw the necessity to offer insurance to the large investors of the multinational companies who were coming to the country at the time. In 1996 it changed its name to La Rural S.A. de Seguros for a better local recognition. Since 1973 it is an affiliate of on of the most important insurance companies in Japan.
