The Hub Power Company Limited (Hubco) was established in 1991 as a limited liability company in order to implement a government project which aims involving the private investors in power generation. The main activity of the company is electricity generation in electric utilities sector. Its main plant is Hub with an installed net capacity of 1,200 megawatt (MW). There are power stations in Balochistan and Punjab which is an oil-fired power station with a capacity of 214 MW.
