Nishat Chunian Ltd. (NCL) was established in 1990 with the inception of a single spinning unit. Now the company has expanded and included in its operations manufacturing and finishing operations consisting of five spinning units, one weaving unit, one dyeing & finishing unit and one stitching unit. NCL operates with 150,000 spindles and 293 air ejet looms with a monthly production capacity of 7.5 million lbs of yarn and 4.0 million yards of greige fabric. The dyeing & finishing unit has a monthly capacity of 3.5 million yards . Sales have steadily increased from USD 8.5 million in 1991 to over USD 128 million in 2007, which includes exports of over USD 105 million.
