Meezan Bank Limited is one of the largest banks in Pakistan established in 1997. In 2002 it became the first bank to receive an Islamic commercial banking license by the State Bank of Pakistan. The bank provides a comprehensive range of Islamic banking products through a network of 550 branches in 143 cities across Pakistan. Its services are divided into two groups – personal and business services, fully compliant with the Islamic Sharia law, which prohibits interest-based operations.
