Kohinoor Energy Limited (KEL) was incorporated in 1994 with the aim to contribute to the development of regional power generation. KEL is a joint venture between the local multi-industrial group Saigols Group of Companies and Japan’s Toyota Tsusho Corporation. The principle activities of the company is to own, operate and maintain a 131MW furnace oil power station. The generated electricity is sold the state-run Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority.
