Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC) is a company located in Mandaluyong, Philippines. It was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 23, 1982. PSC acquired the license to operate 7-Eleven stores in the Philippines from Southland Corporation in December 1982. The company opened its first store in February 1984 in Quezon City, Metro Manila. PSC transferred the Philippine area license to operate 7-Eleven stores to its affiliate, Phil-Seven Properties Corporation (PSPC), in July 1988. In May 1996, PSC and PSPC merged to enhance the company's expansion. PSC listed its shares on the Philippine Stock Exchange in February 1998. PSC established Convenience Distribution Inc. (CDI) in September 1998 as a subsidiary to provide logistics planning and services to its 7-Eleven stores. In October 2000, President Chain Store (Labuan) Holdings, Ltd. (PCSL), a Malaysian investment holding company, purchased a majority stake in PSC. PSC's area license to operate 7-Eleven stores was renewed in August 2007. The company established PhilSeven Foundation, Inc. in October 2007 to support its corporate social responsibility programs. As of December 2021, PSC had a total of 3,146 direct hires and provided supplemental benefits and incentives to its employees. The company offers training and development programs to its employees and closely monitors competition in the retail industry.
