Saga Falabella S.A. was founded in November 1953 under the name Sears Roebuck del Peru. In 1999 it changed its name to SAGA Falabella due to the fact that its majority was acquired by the Chilean Group Falabella, a well recognized chain in South America, with operations in Peru, Chile, Argentina and Colombia. The company is engaged in the retail sale of domestic and imported goods, such as clothing, appliances, equipment, sports equipment, computing equipment and accessories, beauty items, etc. Currently, Saga Falabella has nine stores located in Lima, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Piura, Arequipa and Cajamarca. The company also has a distribution center in the district of Villa El Salvador, which is responsible to distribute the supply of goods across the country.
The company has been listed on the Lima Stock Exchange since 1994.
