The company operates the San Rafael mine in Puno and a smelting and refining plant Funsur knock in the region of Ica. Minsur, which has the mining rights of 144.058 hectares. The company is controlled by the local holding Brescia, a local conglomerate with investments in mining, banking and retail sectors. The company is geared to exploit, process and market tin and to export it to markets such as: The United States, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Spain. Since 2008, Minsur has participation in the Brazilian Mining, through its subsidiary Serra da Madeira Participações Ltda and is indirectly owns to Mineracao Taboca.
