Generandes Peru, is mainly engaged in development activities related to the generation of electricity directly or through its subsidiaries. Currently the company's main shareholder is Endesa Chile with 61% shareholding and Southern Cone of Peru, with the remaining 39%. Generandes acts as holding, exercising special control over Edegel and indirectly over Chinango S.A.C, both electricity generating companies. Generandes was listed on the Lima Stock Exchange in January 2004.
