Concesionaria Trasvase Olmos S.A. (Peru)

Concesionaria Trasvase Olmos S.A. is a company located in Lima, Peru. It was incorporated in 2004 and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Olmos Transference Project. The project involves the transfer of water from the Huancabamba River on the Atlantic side to the Pacific side through a 20 km tunnel in the Andes Mountains. The water is regulated at the Limón Dam and used for irrigation in the Olmos pampas and valley in the Lambayeque region, as well as for hydroelectric power generation. Concesionaria Trasvase Olmos (CTO) was awarded the project through a public-private partnership co-financed by the Peruvian government. The concession includes the construction, operation, and maintenance of the transfer works, including the Limón Dam and the 20 km tunnel. CTO is the concessionaire and will operate and maintain the water transfer until the end of the concession in 2025. The total investment for the project was US $247 million.
