AFP Horizonte S.A. was founded in 1993 in Peru as a pension fund administrator company. It was part of the economic group Banco Continental (Grupo BBVA), until April 2013 when AFP Integra S.A. and Profuturo AFP acquired the company. AFP Horizonte has been publicly traded since 1993 and its corporate purpose is to manage private pension funds for companies and individuals in the form of individual accounts for both, mandatory and voluntary contributions. It also provides retirement benefits, disability, survival and burial expenses. AFP Horizonte activities are supervised by the Superintendencia Bancaria, Insurance and the National Securities Commission of Peru.
