The principal activities of the subsidiary companies are the manufacturing, research and development and trading of electronic modules. The company is a shariah compliant security in accordance with the Shariah Advisory Council of the Malaysian Securities commission. Uchi Technologies Berhad's wholly owned subsidiaries include Uchi Optoelectronic (M) Sdn. Bhd., Uchi Electronic (M) Sdn. Bhd., Uchi Technologies (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. and Uchi Industries (M) Sdn.Bhd. The Group is operating in the jurisdictions of Malaysia and the People's Republic of China. UCHITEC is also involved in designs and develops electronic control modules in-house and eventually manufacturers and assembles components into semi-finished parts and control modules. Besides, the Company also develops the software programming, hardware design and construction system of ODM products. The electronic control modules are developed and manufactured for multinational corporations such as Eugster, Moulinex, Krups, Bosch, Sartorius, Eppendorf, Symbol Technologies, Philips Singapore Pte Ltd and Globaltaec Corporation. The Company was incorporated in 1998 and is based in Ipoh.
