Seg International Berhad engaged in investment holding, the provision of management consultancy services, property management, the rental of premises, business advisory services and the provision of educational and training services. The Group's colleges, spread across major towns in the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor and Kuching, offer professional certification courses such as ACCA, CIMA, ICSA and CIM, degree-linked programmes in computing, marketing and business, tourism & hospitality management courses as well as distance learning programmes for professional qualifications. The Group diversified into related business segments including job placement, corporate training and publications. On 22 June 2000, the Company signed an agreement with Nord Anglia Education Plc to promote educational courses in Malaysia through a new JVC, EWI-Systematic Sdn Bhd. On 25 Nov 2000, the Croup's shareholders approved the proposed acquisition of 100% stakes in Berrington Bay Corporation Sdn Bhd, Summit Education Sdn Bhd, Summit Montessori Edu-Care Sdn Bhd and Rekaan Medianet Sdn Bhd, the acquisition of two office buildings at Phileo Damansara, and to increase its authorized share capital to RM100m from RM20m. The Company was incorporated in 1985 and is based in Shah Alam.
