Bahvest Resources Berhad is a Malaysian gold mining company located in Tawau, Sabah. The company was listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in 2005 and initially focused on aquaculture. However, in 2017, Bahvest diversified into the gold mining business and began its first gold production in August 2018. In September 2020, the company divested its aquaculture business and now solely operates in gold mining. Bahvest's gold mine is situated in Tawau, Sabah State, covering a mining area of 317.7 hectares with a leasehold period until September 30, 2048. The company utilizes surface mining techniques, starting from the surface of an initial pit in Bukit Mantri and two new pits in Bukit Panjang and Bukit Botak. This approach involves digging into the earth's surface layer by layer due to the relatively shallow ore bodies.
