Ancom Logistics Berhad is an investment holding company located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. It was incorporated on April 14, 1966, under the name Tamco Electrical Engineering Company (Malaysia) Limited. Over the years, the company underwent several name changes and reorganization exercises. Previously, Tamco was involved in the design, manufacture, supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of switchgear equipment and systems for power distribution and motor control. It also traded and contracted electrical engineering products and provided system integration services in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Singapore. However, on April 23, 2008, Tamco disposed of its switchgear business and embarked on a capital repayment exercise. On November 23, 2009, Tamco changed its name to Ancom Logistics Berhad after acquiring the entire equity interest in Synergy Trans-Link Sdn Bhd (STL). STL and its subsidiaries are involved in transportation, warehousing, and chemical tank farm businesses in Malaysia and Singapore. Ancom Logistics is currently an investment holding company that holds the entire equity interest in STL, which in turn holds the entire equity interest in Pengangkutan Cogent Sdn Bhd, a company involved in the transportation of liquid chemicals in Malaysia and Singapore. Ancom Logistics also holds a 51% equity interest in Ancom ChemQuest Terminals Sdn Bhd, a company that operates a chemical tank farm in Port Klang, Malaysia. One of Ancom Logistics' subsidiaries, ACQT, operates a tank farm with 48 tanks and 8 loading bays in Port Klang. The tank farm provides bulk storage facilities for liquid chemicals, serving multinational petrochemical companies in the region.
