Seguros Sura S.A. de C.V. is an insurance company founded in 1944 under the name La Atlantida, Seguros Generales. In 1979 it was acquired by Multibanco Mercantil of Mexico, changing its name to Seguros Atlantida Multiba. In 1991, Grupo Financiero Probursa bought it and changed its name to Seguros Probursa and in 1996, Seguros Probursa change to Seguros BBV-Probursa. Finally in 2001, RSA Group acquires BBV-Seguros Probursa turning into Royal & SunAlliance, Seguros, S.A. of C.V.
