Controladora Comercial Mexicana S.A.B. de C.V. is a holding company which operates supermarkets and restaurants chains. The company currently operates five store formats: Comercial Mexicana, Bodega, Mega, Sumesa and Costco, totaling about 230 stores. Its history goes back to 1930 when it opened its first textile shop and in 1962 when opened its first convenience store. The winery operations began in 1989. In 1991, it formed a partnership with the American company Costco inc., in order to operate the Mexico Price Costco stores, with opening the first cost Price located in Mexico City in 1992. Controladora Comercial Mexicana has been on the Mexican Stock Exchange since 1991.
