Alsea, S.A.B. DE C.V. (Mexico)

Alsea S.A.B. de C.V. was found in 1997. Its main activity is the operation of fast food restaurants in Mexico. ALSEA operates the following trademarks: Domino's Pizza, Starbucks Coffee and Popeye's Chicken & Seafood, and until November 2006 also operated Spoleto. It operates Burger King in Mexico (franchises in Chile and Argentina were acquired during 2006) and Chili's Grill & Bar franchises. The operation of its brands is supported by its Shared Services Center, which includes the supply chain through Distribución Internacional de Alimentos (DIA), the real estate and social housing building services, as well as administrative services, including human resources, financial and technological services. In January 2008, it signed an agreement for the acquisition of 85% shares of Dominalco (Domino's Pizza Colombi). ALSEA has an important food distribution logistics chain, with a national coverage. By its subsidiary DIA, the company delivers products twice a week to 130 cities across Mexico. It has five distribution centers located in Hermosillo, Tijuana, Monterrey, Mexico and Cancún. It has been listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) since 1998.
