Alpek S.A.B de C.V. is a conglomerate of chemical industry companies. Alpek is a subsidiary of Grupo Alfa dedicated to the intermediate manufacturing of petrochemical products, like DMT, PTA and caprolactama, as well as PET, synthetic fibers of polyester and nylon, Lycra, plastic and chemical products, like polypropylene, polystyrene, urethanes, glycols and chemical specialties. The companies that it manages are: PTAL, Petrocel, TEMEX, Dak Americas, Indelpro, Polioles, Nyltek, Univex and Akra Polyester. Since April 26, 2012 Alpek has been listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange.
