Myanmar Citizens Bank (MCB) is a bank located in Yangon, Myanmar. It was incorporated on 30th October 1991 with the Company Registration No. 274/1991-92. MCB started its business on 2nd June 1992 at No. 383, Maharbandoola Road, Kyauktada Township, Yangon. The bank obtained its banking license, Ma Ba Ba/ J (i) -1(5) 1992, from the Central Bank of Myanmar on 25th May 1992. MCB is authorized to provide various banking services to its customers. It has an Authorized Capital of 75 Billion Kyats and a Paid-up Capital of 52 Billion Kyats, in accordance with the law of Financial Institutions, number (176). MCB has been granted the Foreign Exchange Authorized Dealer License by the Central Bank of Myanmar on 17th August 2012. It is also a member of the Society for Worldwide Inter Bank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) since 5th January 2013. The bank offers a range of services including Foreign Currency Current account opening, Export/Import Settlements, Cash disbursement, Bank Guarantee, Account transfers, and foreign Exchange Market activities. MCB has money changer counters at Kyauktada Branch, Muse Branch, Mandalay Branch, and Dawpon Mini Branch. It has also provided Acquiring services for Visa and Master Card since 2014 and issued its own branded "Citizens card" of Master Card. MCB was listed on the Yangon Stock Exchange on 26th August 2016, allowing the trading of its shares. The bank has a vision for Learning & Development progress, implementing external/internal professional training programs to enhance expertise in Creative Banking & Financial Products, Efficient Banking Operation & Customer Service Excellence. MCB has also adopted modern/digital technology in banking by using Core Banking System since 14th October 2018, across all its branches in Myanmar.
