Invest Banka Montenegro was established in 1961 under the name Pljevaljska Banka.In July 2005, the Montenegrin government acquired a 57% stake in the company as a result of debt to equity swap of some EUR 3.0 million agreed with the Pljevlja coalmine.In December the same year, Montenegro invited investors to bid in a tender for the sale of a 78.7% stake it controlled in the lender through various entities. The stake was purchased in June 2006 for EUR 3.0 million by the Atlas Group Consortium comprised of Atlasmont Bank, Atlas Mont Fund and engineering company Fin Invest.Later the same year the Montenegrin lender was renamed to Invest Banka Montenegro. The bank provides services in the retail, SME, corporate and public segments, offering customers classic banking products such as financing, payment transaction and documentation services, investment products, saving and deposits, as well as leasing finance.
