Barska Plovidba A.D. Bar is a company located in Bar, Montenegro. It was incorporated on October 20, 2000, under the name AD "Putnički terminal" Bar, which was later changed to Barska Plovidba AD Bar in 2002. Since its establishment until December 2016, Barska Plovidba primarily operated ferry boats "Sveti Stefan" and "Sveti Stefan II" for the transportation of passengers and vehicles between Montenegro and Italy (Bar - Bari - Bar and Bar - Ancona - Bar). Currently, the company indirectly maintains a line with Italy until the acquisition of a new ferry boat. In addition to ferry services, Barska Plovidba also owns two Bulk Carrier cargo ships for the transportation of bulk cargo. These ships have a carrying capacity of 36,000 DWT. The construction of the cargo ships "Bar" and "Budva" was completed in 2014 in the Jinling shipyard in China, with the support of the Government of Montenegro and the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs. They were acquired on September 18, 2014, and October 8, 2014, respectively, and have been commercially operated since then. By strengthening its maritime capacities through this project, Barska Plovidba AD Bar has ensured continuity in its operations. The company operates in the passenger terminal building located in the port of Bar, which is part of the corridor of powerful passenger and cargo flows (Budapest - Belgrade - Bar - Bari). The terminal building offers various services to passengers, including a travel agency, restaurant, yachting club, post office, tourist agency, and freight forwarding, providing a complete service for travelers heading to the mentioned destinations.
