The National Oil Company (NOC) is the national oil company of Libya engaged in exploration, development, production and marketing operation. NOC, which is the successor of the Libyan Petroleum Corporation, was established in November 1970 with headquarters in the capital of Libya - Tripoli since that moment it took over the oil sector operations in the country. NOC and its group of companies combine approximately 70% of the national’s oil output.
