DUJOTEKANA, UAB guarantees a continuous supply of natural gas to Lithuania and stands for the implementation of its obligations undertaken by the contracts entered into with the consumers. In case of necessity, the Company assumes full liability to ensure an interruptible gas supply.

The Company's policy entails contributing to the development of the National Energy System, strengthening compatibility, as well as making the sector more attractive to investors.

The DUJOTEKANA, UAB operations do not pertain to the natural gas import to Lithuania as to the sole and most important target. The Company's development strategy also provides for the investment projects in building underground gas storage facilities, and cogeneration power plants. A gas storage would secure Lithuania against unexpected disruption of gas supplies in case of an accident at gas mains, for instance. Moreover, storage facilities could also contribute to the balancing of the seasonal demand for natural gas. It has been estimated Lithuania needs an underground gas storage of 300-500 million m3.
