KEGOC AO (Kazakhstan)

Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC) is a company located in Astana, Kazakhstan. It was established on July 11, 1997, in accordance with Decree No.1188 of the Government of Kazakhstan. KEGOC's mission is to ensure the reliability, availability, and advanced development of the energy system in Kazakhstan. Their vision is to be the country's UPS system operator, shaping the market and future energy system while addressing the economy's rising needs and supporting the creation of a sustainable electricity system through infrastructure planning and clean energy advancement. KEGOC provides various services, including contracted system services of electricity transmission across the national power grid, maintenance of National Power Grid facilities, contracted system services of technical dispatching of electricity, system services for balancing electricity generation and consumption, financial settlement of electricity imbalances, management of the real-time balancing energy market and system and auxiliary services market, collaboration with power systems of neighboring states, regulation and reserving of electric capacity, technical and organizational guidance for establishing unified information systems, commercial metering systems, and related protective relaying and emergency automation, procurement and sale of electricity for auxiliary consumption and support of renewable energy sources, centralised operational dispatch control in the Unified Power System of Kazakhstan, repair and maintenance of electric motors, generators, transformers, distribution and regulating equipment, lighting equipment, and other electric equipment, property leasing and management, wired telecommunication services, and acting as agents involved in the sale of various goods, as well as wholesale of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap and waste.
