Jordan’s Invest Bank was established in 1982 in Amman under the full name Jordan Investment and Finance Company. The goal of the founders, including affluent businessman Nizar Abdul Rahim Jardaneh, was to provide financing to the various sectors of the national economy, thus achieving both economic and social development. In 1989 the company received an approval by the Central Bank to transform to an investment bank. Since then, the bank has expanded its portfolio of products and services with an emphasis on corporate banking, financing of SMEs, wealth management, personal banking and e-services. The bank has three domestic subsidiaries operating in the field of brokerage, trade finance and leasing, and has set up an affiliate bank in Palestine, the Al Quds Bank for Development and Investment, currently headquartered in Ramallah. The bank performs its investment activities by participation in the establishment of companies dealing with real estate, financial clearing and duty free trade, as well as by foreign fund investment in the Amman Stock Exchange.
