Parsian Bank is an Iranian credit institution headquartered in the city of Tehran. It was established in 2001 and received its license by the Central Bank of Iran in 2002. Parsian Bank offers a full range of banking services, including deposits, loans extension, trade finance, sale of securities, letters of guarantee, foreign exchange and e-banking. It has a diversified customer base, ranging from individual customers to commercial enterprises active in all sectors of the national economy. Parsian Bank shares were listed on Tehran Stock Exchange in October 2004. Parsian Bank, like all Iranian banks, operate under the principles of Islamic Sharia law, which bans the charge and payment of interest. The bank has also taken steps toward implementing international Basel standards for banking supervision committees.
