Fars Cement Public Joint Stock Company (Iran)

Fars Cement Co. was founded in 1329 (1940) and started it's activities by building the fars cement plant in 140 Hectar piece of land at the beginning of Shiraz-Booshehr Road. The company started outwith an out put 200 tons of cement per day and become productive, officialy, in 1334 (1955)and at that time it was the second company in the country, this plant for thefirst time in the country used the circular furnance to producte kelinker.
During 1355,56 (1976-77) 1250 tons furnaces that were made in Germany were added to the plant, and there for,the plant out put increased to 3000 tons of cement per day. Because the equipments were old and out dated and the enviromental problems. At one point of time the 200 tons furnace was removed fromthe production line and in 1377 (1998) two units with 300 and 500 tons capacity were also removed frome the plants production line and the plant out put reached 2200 tons ob keliker and 2300 tons of cement a day.
