The Commercial Bank Of Iraq (CBIQ) is a private sector bank located in Baghdad. It was established in 1992 after local laws were amended to allow for the formation of private banks with a minimum capital of 150,000,000 IQD. Since its establishment, CBIQ has expanded its network of branches across Baghdad and neighboring districts. In 2004, it was officially listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange. In 2005, CBIQ partnered with Ahli United Bank, which has received multiple awards for being the Best Bank in the Middle East. CBIQ offers a range of services including retail, remittance, financial, and trade financing for local corporations and contracting companies. The bank also provides funding services for international corporations operating in Iraq. Recently, CBIQ opened a new branch in the city of Najaf, offering various financial services for the population of Najaf province. These services include depositing, cash withdrawal, and financial services for individuals and corporations provided by a skilled banking team.
