Kernex Microsystems India Ltd. is a software company located in Hyderabad, India. It was incorporated on September 15, 1991, with the objective of designing, developing, installing, and maintaining software packages for domestic and international markets. The company is registered as a 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU) with the Software Technology Parks of India. From 1993 to 2003, Kernex developed and exported various software packages, including "Mimex" for GUI application, LearnX, ELX, Flicker, MathX, EzEc Builder, Netcare, and E-DOCS. E-DOCS provided document management and imaging solutions to companies, helping them reduce their reliance on paper and improve collaboration among users. MathX was an interactive mathematical wizard, while EzEc Builder was an integrated Electronic Commerce Tool for creating and maintaining online supermarkets. During this period, Kernex's turnover increased from Rs. 4.5 Million to Rs. 78 Million. In addition to software development, the company also developed an Intelligent Data Acquisition System for Konkan Railways, which was installed in 53 stations from 1997 to 1999. Since 1999, Kernex has focused on developing Railway Safety systems. They successfully demonstrated a prototype of Anti-Collision Devices (ACDs) to Konkan Railway Corporation Limited and the Railway Safety Board. In March 2000, they entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with KRCL for technical collaboration to develop full-scale networked ACDs. These devices utilize Global Positioning System, Radio Data Communication, and Application Logics, interfacing with an Auto Breaking System developed by KRCL. Kernex has operations in the USA and plans to expand into the Far East, Africa, and the Middle East, positioning itself as a global player in the software industry.
