Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd. (HPGCL) is a company located in Panchkula, Haryana. It was incorporated on March 17, 1997, and was given the responsibility of operating and maintaining the state's own generation projects. HPGCL was established as a result of power sector reforms in Haryana, which led to the unbundling and reorganization of the State Electricity Board on August 14, 1998. The corporation's main objective is to bring excellence in power generation in the state's own generating stations and to bridge the gap between demand and supply.
