Balaji Wafers Private Limited is a company located in Rajkot. It was incorporated in 1995 and started as a small venture by the Virani brothers. They began by making wafers and sandwiches to sell in the canteen of Astron Cinema. In 1984, they started distributing their wafers to nearby retailers, despite having a small scale operation. In 1989, the company took a loan to set up a semi-automated plant in Rajkot, with the aim of improving the quality and hygiene of their products. By 1995, Balaji Wafers became a private limited company and expanded their product line to include namkeen and other snacks. They set up a fully automated manufacturing plant to meet the growing demand. Over the years, Balaji Wafers continued to expand their operations. In 2002, they launched a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Rajkot, which was the largest in the country at that time. They also built fully automated plants for namkeen and other snacks, and expanded their distribution network to other states. In 2008, the company set up a plant in Valsad, which was one of the largest in Asia. They also established manufacturing units for namkeen and other snacks in the same region to meet the increasing demands from other states. In 2015, Balaji Wafers set up a hi-tech plant in Indore to cater to the northern and western parts of the country. As of 2019, the company offers a range of 65+ products and 150+ SKUs. They have a strong presence in both remote areas and cities, thanks to their expanding distribution network consisting of 1225+ dealers. Balaji Wafers aims to provide a quality snacking experience at an affordable price to people of all age groups.
