Pt Emdeki Utama Tbk (Indonesia)

PT Emdeki Utama Tbk is an Indonesia-based company founded in 1981. It was established by the founders of PT Metropolitan Development Group with the goal of producing calcium carbide for import substitution. The company's factory is located on 14 hectares of land in Driyorejo Gresik. It started experimental production on November 10, 1987, and commercial production on February 1, 1988. Within two years, PT Emdeki Utama Tbk gained the trust of the community and became the main supplier of carbide in Indonesia. It even exported some of its products to Japan, India, the United States, and other countries. PT Emdeki Utama Tbk operates in the organic chemical industry, non-iron base metal manufacturing, mortar industry or ready-mix concrete, warehousing and storage, large-scale trading of basic materials and chemicals, and large-scale trading of other products. The company has three segments: carbide, air conditioner and services, and mortar. Its products are used in smelters for processing iron and steel, gold, nickel, and copper to separate and remove impurities. The company serves both the domestic and export markets and has subsidiaries, including PT Industri Tata Udara Indonesia Airconco.
