Multibreeder Adirama Indonesia, PT (Indonesia)

PT Multibreeder Adirama Indonesia (MBAI), which is a subsidiary of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk, operates a poultry business with the breeding of Day-Old Chicks (DOC), including DOC Parent Stock and DOC Final Stock, as well as the production of culled chickens and eggs. MBAI, which is currently based in Jakarta with branches in Sidoarjo, Purwakarta and Bandarlampung, was founded in Surabaya in 1985. The Company operates in the chicken breeding business and its main products are Day Old Chicks (DOC). In 1991, the Company was acquired by PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA). On Feb 28, 1994 the Company listed 26.2% of its shares on the Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchanges. Since 2004, the Company has focused on expansion into new geographical regions in an effort to better serve its customers. The regions selected for initial expansion were Samarinda, Palembang and Manado. Chicken breeding farms and hatchery facilities were set up in these regions. Aviagen Limited has appointed MBAI as its exclusive distributor in Indonesia of Lohmann Indian River Broiler DOC and Lohmann Tierzucht Layer DOC. This agreement gives the Company the sole right to import, breed and market Grand Parent Stock DOC, Parent Stock DOC and Final Stock DOC for those breeds. Final Stock DOC is the Company's main product and they are sold to poultry farmers throughout Indonesia. MBAI has direct ownership interest in PT Multiphala Adiputra and PT Hidon, which are engaged in chicken breeding and hatchery business. MBAI has an average total number of 5,092 employees in 2010. PT Multibreeder Adirama Indonesia was delisted on 27 June 2012, because it was merged with its parent company, PT JAPFA Comfeed Indonesia
